Join us on one of our most popular workshops, photographing British and international birds of prey, including barn owls, tawny owls, eagles and hawks. Our location is ideally suited to capturing both static shots in beautiful, natural settings and amazing action shots of birds in free flight. Comprehensive instruction is provided throughout the day to ensure you capture compelling images.
The day begins with a 2-hour session photographing various birds of prey in natural, static settings, in the nearby woodland. As well as ivy-covered tree stumps, mossy rocks and natural perches, we also have a selection of props, such as a mock thatch, that we can use to create realistic and imaginative images.
After lunch, we continue with a further 2-hour session photographing birds in free flight, including barn owls, eagle owls, hawks and eagles. During this session you will have ample opportunity to capture images from a range of angles using trusted techniques.
During both sessions, professional wildlife photographer Chris Weston will be on hand to pass on his knowledge and expertise in capturing compelling wildlife images, making sure you capture the images you’ve come to get.
The course is suitable for all abilities from novice to advanced amateur. A DSLR camera is essential for this course.
