After the popular introduction in 2007 of this Masters’ Series course, join Chris on a bracing adventure, photographing enigmatic seals, from cute pups, sparring adults and surfing adolescents, while learning all the techniques of successful wildlife photography from one of Britain’s leading professionals.
The seal colony at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire is one of the largest in Europe. Photographic opportunities abound, with young white pups, frolicking adults, surfing adolescents and angry males fighting over territory.
This is the ideal time to capture the seals and we’ll provide you with all the necessary knowledge, advice and expert tuition to ensure you capture competition-winning images. The tuition begins with a formal session on the first afternoon. The following morning we have an early start to reach the seals in time for sunrise.
The whole day is spent in the field with photographic opportunities all around you. Doe-eyed pups will gaze at you in wonder before suckling, adults will defend territories and vie for dominance, characterful youngsters play in the surf, tussling with each other or the water.
Breakfast and lunch (and hot drinks!) are provided to keep you going throughout the day. All in all, it’s a wild photographic adventure that will result in some of your best wildlife images yet.
