Our Big Cat Photo Experience day is aimed at novice photographers and those who want to experience being in close proximatey to some of the world’s most enigmatic species, including lions, tigers, cheetahs and snow leopards. Our experienced photographic leader will provide basic shooting tips and advice, and our designated guide will encourage the cats into photo-friendly positions with natural backdrops. Our aim is that you return home with images to be proud of and an experience to remember.

Description

Your day starts with an introduction to the cats and a description of the types of images we’re aiming for you to capture. We’ll talk through some of the essential, basic camera techniques to help put you in control of your camera and ensure that when the action starts, you’re ready and prepared.

Photography will begin with the three male African lions, where lens-friendly holes have been cut into the wire mesh to allow unrestricted photography of these Kings of the jungle. After the lions we move onto the tigers, with three different species - Bengal, Sumatran and Siberian - available to photograph.

After a break for lunch, our photogaphy continues with cheetahs, mountain lions (pumas) and Amur leopards (the world’s rarest big cat). We complete the guided sessions with the enigmatic snow leopard.

To end the day, there is an hour of free time to return to any of the enclosures and spend time photographing your favourtie subjects from the day. Throughout, our photography leader will be available to answer questions and provide advice on technique. All in all, a full day of close encounters and photograpic experiences - exceptional value for money.
