Chris to work full-time on AOTE
28th October 2008
Animals on the Edge started with an informal conversation between two friends in a living room in California in 2007. Since then, it has come a long way. Today, as a not-for-profit program of US-based Living Earth, Animals on the Edge has a remit to use the powers of investigative photojournalism and art photography to instigate community-based conservations programs around the world. To this end, Chris will be working full-time with Living Earth to continue his quest photographing the world’s most endangered species, and to initiate related conservation projects in some of the world’s poorest regions. The first such project, an Alternative Energy Water Supply project in Zimbabwe, is already under way and there are plans to extend the reach of Animals on the Edge to other parts of Africa, as well as Asia and South America.
