New gear added to the arsenal

Chris has added the Nikon D700 and Coolpix P6000 cameras to his kit bag, supplementing his main shooting bodies - the D3 and D3X. Commenting from the field during his latest assignment, Chris explained the reasoning behind the acquisitions: “The D700 is an excellent camera with many of the qualities of the more expensive D3 and, as well as serving as a worthy back-up to the D3, it provides a perfect lightweight alternative to the bigger, heavier camera. The P6000 is the camera I use when I’m not carrying a camera. It’s a delightful little machine that produces a high quality image and has the added feature of built-in GPS, which is becoming more important for my work with Animals on the Edge.”
