Portfolio Review
We are thrilled to announce a brand new service for 2010 - a personalised Portfolio Review for photo enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you're just starting out or have been taking photographs for a long time.
What you get
You may submit up to 6 or 12 images. In return we will provide a written critique of each image, compiled by Chris Weston, providing constructive feedback in the form of a frank and motivational written discussion on areas such as composition, exposure, camera settings, and more - together with a subsequent 15-minute telephone discussion with you directly.
As well as our feedback on how the image was photographed, we'll also provide some ideas for how the image composition might have been approached differently and how to develop your style and photographic vision.
Additionally, we will provide an overall assessment of your portfolio and include a set of personalised suggested practice exercises based on your photographic style and level. These exercise recommendations are aimed at inspiring you to make better images and will be based on our overall assessment of your portfolio.
What you'll learn
The aim of a portfolio review is that you learn the necessary skills and photographic vision to develop your photography to new and higher levels. To achieve this we will give advice on:
- How to see all the visual potential in a scene or subject
- How to de-clutter the image space
- How to draw the viewers eye and lead them on a visual journey
- How to define your visual message
- How to capture in camera what you see with your eye
- How to set the camera to achieve different visual results
What you will receive:
- A written personalised critique of each image
- A written assessment of the portfolio as a whole
- Suggestions for areas to improve upon
- Motivational practice exercises to help you develop
- A 15-minute telephone review of the report
All of the above information will be provided in a personalised, written report that you can take away and read and refer back to.
What's the cost?
The charge for a standard, personalised Portfolio Review is:
£90.00 for a 6 image Portfolio Review
£150.00 for a 12 image Portfolio Review
Booking process
Once we've received your order for a Portfolio Review we will send you an information pack containing details of how to select and submit images.
How long do they take?
Typically, Portfolio Reviews are turned around in 14-days of receipt of images.
