“This was my favourite shot of 2010. Despite the fact the bear is in a captive environment within the Bavarian Forest National Park, I love the graphic nature of the image, the shapes and angles caused by the bear’s pose, and the way the texture of the fur really comes to life. The image was one of three that made it into Outdoor Photography magazine’s Opening Shot in 2011.”
