“What isn’t apparent from an image like this is the sound of the animals passing overhead. It was thunderous. And as the animals passed, the flying dust and debris filled the confines of the pit. As each herd passed, I was left holding my breath for up to a minute before I was able to breath again. The cameras faired less well!”
